Teleprompter for sales and prospecting videos
Updated October 23, 2026 · Anthony Delmotte
In short. Keep sales videos under 90 seconds (about 200 words), open with the prospect’s name or problem, make one point, and end with one next step. Read from a prompter under the lens so you keep eye contact.
Short wins
A prospect gives you a few seconds to decide whether to keep watching. Aim for 30 to 90 seconds: 70 to 200 words. Check with the speech time calculator.
A simple structure
- Personal opening: their name, company or the problem they mentioned.
- One point: the single thing you can do for them.
- Proof: one result or one example.
- Next step: one ask, like a 15-minute call.
Reuse with a personal touch
Write a template script and keep the first card for the personal part. In SmoothCue, duplicate the script, change the first card, and record. The rest stays word-perfect.
Eye contact sells
A sales video is a conversation with one person. Keep the text just under the lens; see our guide on eye contact while reading.
