Teleprompter for real estate videos and property tours

Updated October 23, 2026 · Anthony Delmotte

In short. Script the parts where you talk to camera (the listing intro, the market update, your agent introduction) and keep them under a minute. Use the front camera with the text under the lens, and record the walkthrough separately.

Which videos to script

  • Listing intro: address, three highlights, price range, how to book a visit. About 45 seconds.
  • Market update: one number, what it means, what buyers or sellers should do. About a minute.
  • Agent introduction: who you are, the area you know, why people call you. About a minute.

Talk, then tour

Record your to-camera parts with the prompter, then film the walkthrough without speaking and add a voice-over or music. Mixing both in one take is hard and rarely looks good.

Outdoors

Turn the brightness up and the text size up; a quiet street helps voice follow. In wind, a clip-on microphone with a windscreen makes a big difference.

Keep a template

Most listing intros share a structure. Duplicate last week’s script, change the details, and record in a couple of takes.

Try it on your next take

SmoothCue puts your script under the camera and scrolls with your voice. Your first full take is free.

FAQ

How long should a real estate video be?

Under a minute for social media and listing intros; two to four minutes for a full property tour.

Yes, when someone else is filming or reading. In SmoothCue you can switch between front and back cameras, including the ultra-wide lens on iPhones that have one.
